Hitman 2 is a stealth video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the seventh entry in the Hitman video game series and is the sequel to the 2016 game Hitman. The game was released on 13 November 2018 and was met with generally positive reviews and i think it is good that it was met with generally positive reviews as it does indeed make you feel like “You” are an assassin which was sent to kill someone. It almost is as good as in my option “Blood Money” was, Here are my Thoughts on “Hitman 2”:
    Pros:
    • The core of Hitman 2 is exactly the same as in the first game: you roam around massive clockwork levels swarming with hundreds of characters, all interacting with each other and carrying out their own routines, as you plan dozens of ridiculous ways to bump off your targets (quietly or not). But Hitman 2 is chock-full of incremental changes and additions that make it a much better playing game on the whole from the Hitman ( 2016 ) one. Some intelligent interface tweaks help clarify abstract information like compromised disguises, off-limits areas, and scripted murder opportunities and make them much easier to parse. A new briefcase makes a return where you can use to smuggle conspicuously illegal items around, give you more options to devise creative strategies. And in what must be one of the most generous decisions made by a developer in recent history, owners of the first game can import all of its content into the new package for free and replay it with all the new features–and newcomers can add all that content to the sequel for a measly 20 bucks. Seeing two whole games’ worth of Hitman encapsulated in one tidy package is a special kind of satisfying.
    • Let’s talk about locations in Hitman 2. Hitman 2 takes you to six new locales, and each poses unique situations to overcome as you attempt to assassinate your targets. My 2 favourite been Mumbai, which is a standout with its densely populated streets and labyrinths of tenement buildings–a great environment that makes the most of a new Assassin’s Creed-style crowd blending mechanic, allowing you to disappear into big groups of people and a unknown target that you will have to find by searching specific areas on the map as the target gets randomized each time you start this mission. And the other mission is in Miami, Florida which takes place at an active raceway, a loud and vibrant stage that feels like a theme park with its swaths of attendees, distinct zones, and a concealed backstage underbelly. These levels are overwhelming in the best way possible as you try multiply-ways to assassinate your target, finding tools and disguisesand figuring out the best places to utilize them.
    • Hitman 2 can almost feel like the original Hitman ( 2016 ) but they indeed introduce new mechanics into this games which are really great, New mechanics like crowd blending and functional mirrors are minor but meaningful improvements for the game. I also most appreciated the new picture-in-picture feature, which shows you where a body’s been discovered or what’s been seen on a security camera.
    • The Soundtrack in Hitman 2 is not the best one i have heard this year but it is a great one, especially the Mumbai and theWhittleton Creek, Vermont (USA ) one were really good.
    • While i have issues with the story of Hitman 2 ( check ** mark inCons Section ), The story is pretty alright if you play it, It not the best story i played in BUT it is alright
    • Speaking of stories “ Cinematics ” and Missions Intro,  there is tense in it and a lot of moments where you be like….. “ WHAT? “ and the Missions Intros are one of the best intros i have ever seen in 2018 ( But again there are issues in it, Check the “ * ” Mark in Cons Section )
    • The First Elusive Target  i played before doing this review ( which was Sean-bean himself dying again 🤷‍ ) was pretty well-done by IO-interactive, i enjoyed doing the elusive targets in 2016’s Hitman and by the looks of it i might enjoy them doing here too as well and will definitely return when new ones come out.
    • For me as to spend such a long time in this game were its challenges and different Mission-stories ( Mission-stories are basically the Opportunity from 2016’s Hitman where you are revealed a way to assassinate your target in a specific way ) and doing one mission over and over again in the same map was not repetitive or boring to me, i loved learning the map and finding different ways to kill my target BUT in challenges i had my 50/50s.
    • The new Sniper-Assassination makes a return from the “Hitman-Absolution” which is pretty fun to mess around but not for long as there is currently 1 map available and more to come and a Brand-new “Ghost Mode” where two players fight to kill 3 targets by any way they want and the first to get more points from other wins the round. It was pretty fun to play against other person and show off your knowledge of the map but again it has 1 map as of now and i faced some connectivity issues in it.
    Cons:
    • The Main issue of this game will depend on who plays this game on how, If you are that type of gamer who plays games for a single-time ( not replaying the mission / quest ) than this game might be fun for you as Efficient executioners can blitz through Hitman 2’s campaign in around 10 hours BUT if you are that type of gamer who plays the game for many times to see many outcomes of it ( Like me 😊 ) than this game can easily cross over 30 – 60 Hours for you… But it’s story is indeed short no-matter which type of gamer plays it.
    • ** With the story been short, The story once again is unfinished andFeels like an expansion, rather than a full release ( Just like in 2016’s Hitman ). It feels like they are planning to also make another Hitman game down the line ( Hitman 3 Maybe / *hopefully* 🤔 ) to *hopefully* finish this story which is not great “IMO” at all. There are lots of hiccups and lots of points in the game just missing / left out
    • * Another change is the shift of the cutscenes from fully animated in 2016’s Hitman to a selection of dynamic images. I’m not enthusiastic about the change, as it feels jarring, especially when you notice for the first time that no one’s mouth is moving as they chat. It makes that cinematics are not fun to watch but fun to listen to only.
    • Some of the Character models could look better if worked on, Don’t get me wrong, Graphics are great in Hitman 2, Just some animations issues and there are repetition of one character’s model in huge maps like Mumbai or Miami. I saw one guy face twice in Mumbai mission.
    • Annoyingly, several of the gadgets in the game are just MK2 versions of gear you’re given in the original game, which means those replaying both of the levels will end up with duplicate gadgets. However, this is a necessary evil, as several of these items are essential, and locking away items like lockpicks or card scramblers only for those who are playing with the Legacy Pack would feel like it was unfairly funneling users towards that pack. Why don’t they just transfer the data we played in 2016’s Hitman to Hitman 2?

    • AI can sometimes be not good at all, I faced some AI bugs on each mission map ( 1 in Mumbai been a huge one where my target got stuck in a room alone and i just killed him anyway i could )BUT thankfully this game is bug-less for the most part so i would not affect my score on this small issue.
    • Final Verdict8 / 10 (Excellent )
Hitman 2 is indeed an excellent game to play in 2018 if you get time, The maps have been improved than 2016’s Hitman had BUT be warned tho, if you come to this game expecting a story like “Hitman: Absolution” had or just basically a good storyline, i am sad to report this game is not for that as the story feels like uncompleted and left for maybe when Hitman 3 comes out but for those who wanna experience an open-areas sandbox maps game where you feel as an assassin to neutralize your targets on however you feel. But for me It’s the best Hitman sandbox game so far, and I’d absolutely recommend it wholeheartedly.
It is available to get on Steam, Playstation Store OR Xbox Games Store for $59.99 for Standard Edition and $99.99 for Gold Edition
