Note: This is my personal chose, if your game did not made it in my list OR it was not in right order, i can respect your chose and you be you as this is my personal games i enjoyed playing in 2018.

“2018” was once again an incredible year for us all gamers and indeed video-games industry gets better each and every year as games feel better as well as look better, This year we got some fantastic video games released, from some great games like Metal Gear Survive / Fallout 76 ( HA! 🤣🤣🤣 You thought so but NO! Seriously) Game likeGod Of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spiderman, Shadow of the Colossus, Monster Hunter: World, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and many more.Some indie games made us all surprise this year as well like Dead Cell, Celeste, Into the Breach and The Messenger.Also some fantastic progress in VR games like ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission, Beat Saber and Tetris Effect, No Man Sky made a comeback this year and Fortnite blew up this year in multiplayer games. Each game having there own fantastic soundtrack, story, graphics and fantastic acting behind it.
So i guess here it is, Here is my “Official” Top 10 List for “ Game of the Year 2018 “ with other category award as well:

And my “Game of the year 2018” Goes to:
“God of War”
( 10/10 ) ( 21 Hours )
Oh BOI OH BOI! ( GET IT 😂! ) What a hard decision it was to choose who will be my GOTY for 2018 between this game and the game in the 2nd place but after thinking for a long time i came to a conclusion, GOD OF WAR is my official “ Game of the year 2018” and i have to thank Cory Borlog and Santa Monica Studio for bring back this Franchise and for an amazing ride we had together in the game. This game nailed every aspect a game needs. Great Story, Kratos and Atreus are fantastic characters for this game, Side characters were interesting and the world was beautiful. CONGRATULATION TO THEM FOR GETTING MY “ GAME OF THE YEAR”

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2: 
( 10/10 ) ( 123 Hours ):
I mean come on, it had to be next to“God Of War”, “ Rockstar Games “ Red Dead Redemption 2 nailed on almost every aspect that a game needs. The story was fantastic, Soundtrack is one of the best of 2018, Characters are very well written and just almost everything is perfect except of why i did not gave this as my GOTY was cause of some issues with game mechanic but it still the game that i would definitely recommend to buy if you own a console ( No PC yet 😥 ) and i simply enjoyed doing a 100% run of it.

  1. Marvel’s Spider-Man: 
( 9/10 ) ( 38 Hours ):
After some disappointing Spiderman games made, Insomniac Games said you know what, we are better than you and made a fan-freaking-tastic Spider-man game for us to enjoy and it indeed was great to finally feel like “Yes, you are the spider-man” and i think it deserves to be in everyone’s top 3 game of the year list for sure.

OK, Hear me out. i know what you are asking, “ How in the hell do you put a game in your “Game of the year” list if you have not even played it “ and here is my answer, even tho i know i have not played it yet and soon will start. I have seen many streamers and many youtubers play it and from the look of it i think it would nevertheless be in my “GOTY” list and also  i did played “Yakuza 0” this year and it was just……. ( check it out below my “GOTY” list ) so i know that Yakuza: Kiwami 2 ( and even 1 ) will be a great game and no matter what it would have made in my TOP 5 list. Let see how it is when i play it in somewhere at 2019.
  1.  Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire:

Again. You all be like “ YOU FREAKING POTATO 😆, HOW THE HELL YOU PUT A GAME IN YOUR “GOTY” LIST WHEN YOU HAVE NOT EVEN PLAYED IT. I AM OUT”, I know its unfair to put a game in the list when i have not even touched it but i know that it’s right in my ally type of game and “ Obsidian Entertainment “ is one of many favourite game-company there exist so i know it gonna be a good game to me to play and enjoy it. I did indeed heard that the story is great, characters are great, all mechanics work really with each other and well i guess we shall see when i get time to play it in 2019.
  1. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales:
( 9/10 ) ( 25 hours )
“ CD Projekt Red ” in 2018 wanted to try something new with the way they create games and so they did with this game and OH MAN! It worked perfectly and they did a fantastic job on it.Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a role-playing strategy video game and they did a fantastic job on bring their standalone Gwent card game into a game. The characters are really interesting, Story was great, and the Soundtrack was so catchy that IT IS ONE OF TWO SOUNDTRACK I OCCASIONALLY LISTEN TO HERE AND THERE ( Even listen to it as i am typing this ) and great It does tie with the witcher games and the gwent card game is very fun and really unique on role-playing games. Am very sad that it did not sold really well and i do hope they make a 2nd part of it in the future.

7. Detroit: Become Human:
( 8/10 ) ( 12 Hours )
Detroit: Become Human is an example on how Telltale Games should have been ( RIP Telltale ). Detroit is made by the creator of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls ( David Cage ) and what an ride it was. Each and every choice you make in this game does indeed matter and effects the story, Conner is an iconic character in this game and and he ( Bryan Dechart ) just did a fantastic job. Story is intesterting and the world where robots ( here it is detroit's ) rule was an interesting concept ( not a new one but was cool ). If you want a better version of Telltale games, do go check it out.
  1.  RimWorld:
( 8/10 ) ( 35 Hours )
Rimworld was in development for a long, long time and than finally we got it fully released in 2018 and it was worth the wait. RimWorld is a top-downconstruction and management simulation video game developed byLudeon Studios and it is the best top-down simulation you can get as of now. This game is based on retrying again and again and again ( and in a fun way ). You build your colony and gather people. Try to build a rocket to escape the planet and different stuff could happen to it, People might die of diseases, or by an attack or an Environment distrucation and you try to survive it each time. I enjoyed playing it for the time i had in it and i do recommend go and check this game out.
  1. Subnautica:
( 7/10 ) ( i don't remember but around 20-ish Hours )
During January there were not a lot of games to play but than i heard that after many years “Subnautica “ got finished and i was like “ Let’s check it out” and than 20+ hours happened and i am really surprised on how hardUnknown Worlds Entertainment
Worked on it and what it has reached. Great and scary places to exploration, great crafting, scary monsters and really just a lot of good stuff.
  1. CELESTE:
( 7/10 ) ( 8 hours )
Oh! What an adventure i had playing this game. I was so lucky to have gotten like 2 days right after finishing RDR 2 where i just played indie games and this one stood the most and was indeed worth it.Celeste is a platforming video game byCanadian video game developers Matt Thorson and Noel Berry and i have to give them a round of applause 👏 for surprisingly making this game in like 4 days in game jam and than later expanding it into a full release. It has one of the beautiful art design you can look at, The soundtrack is so catchy to listen to, The Story is simple BUT beautiful. Please do go and get it for $20.

Game that did not came out in 2018 but I played it in 2018:
Yakuza 0:
( 8/10 ) ( 50 Hours 😱 )
After a long time when i heard this game was actually good but was japanese-ish i felt that this game might not be my type but when i played it, it turned out to be really, really fantastically good. This game is the first part of the Yakuza series and i enjoyed playing it, I loved doing the many of many sidequests it provides to you, The story was really really interesting and good, Characters are one of the best and are so memorable and the soundtrack, The soundtrack is so freaking good that i listen to it occasionally ( This and Thronebreaker ). Sadly it came out last year or would have been in my “GOTY” 2018 list.

Biggest Disappointment of the year:
Metal Gear Survive and Fallout 76:
I think i should not talk about Metal Gear Survive as we all expected it to be bad but Fallout 76 was a different story, I actually was expecting it to be at least good but than at the end how Bethesda messed it up was just awful, just awful. The engine is shit and does not almost works, Graphics were bad, there is no story in the game, Bad PVP and combat. It just awful…. AWFUL

Biggest Comeback of 2018:
No Man Sky: Next
When No Man Sky launched back in 2016 it was bad, so bad many people just started raging on “ Hello Games “ but now in 2018 They did not gave up and after the release of “Next “ Update, it is a decent game to play and made a comeback ( maybe too late but still ). GG 👏👏 “Hello Games”

Best Soundtrack:
God of War
I think it was easy for me. Let God of War main theme speak for itself…
P.S: I do love the Red Dead Redemption 2 “ May I “ as well.

Best Sound Design:
Red Dead Redemption 2
It was again between this and “ God of war” but i chose this and there are many reasons for that. ( The Mud sound, Snow, Birds, people doing their daily life, horses riding around while you are and much more ). Words cannot describe how great sound design is in this game, You just gotta play it.

GRIS
Gris is just beautiful to look at, the visuals are Astonishing with a pretty emotional story.

Best Graphics:
Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 by “ Rockstar games “ showed the world what a console which is like 5 years old can do, The graphics of this game is its important factor, Everything is realistic and the best “ Rockstar “ has made so far.

Best Voice-acted character: 
Christopher Judge as Kratos, God of War:
Again, it was this or Roger Clark asArthur Morgan but i think Christopher Judge deserves it, I mean someone who said a single word “ BOI “ made the world go crazy as well as he fits perfectly as Kratos voice IMO.

Best character:
I mean come on. He is such a great villain and friend at the same time, How he plays in yakuza series is fantastic and is just my favorite character on 2018 ( while don't get me wrong, i love Kratos and Arthur but he is something else ).

Best Multiplayer / Ongoing game:
Warframe & Path of exile
I think a lot of people will chose “Fortnite “ as the best multiplayer but for me it were and are these games, I have spend almost all my free time on these games and developers behind them are working hard to make new content for it and support it (P.S: They both are free games so GO! Check them out)

Best DLC / Expansion:
Prey: Mooncrash
Prey was my GOTY back in 2017 and this DLC does indeed bring some memories of it. Mooncrash is unique as, the player has to navigate their way through a Moonbase while surviving and fighting against the Typhon. The gameplay is identical to the normal Story Mode but with one crucial twist; the general map layout remains the same at all times but the layout of enemies, hazards, and loot changes every time If the player dies at any point during their run, they will restart from the beginning, the stage is reset and the aforementioned layouts change again, making each playthrough unique.
